Whoa… so weird… for the last 10 years or so, whenever I’m stuck in a problem at work, I say to myself, “What would Feynman do?” (This helps not a whit, because the answer is always, “something astonishingly brilliant, though, in hindsight, maybe obvious, but nevertheless, something you’d never think of.”) Guess I’m not the only one to think, “what would Feynman do?” Hah.
Ha Ha, i have always thought the same :D
but as you said this won’t help one bit!
I came across this illustration in wellingtongray which looks at it in a lighter vein!
and you are very right when you say
“his helps not a whit, because the answer is always, “something astonishingly brilliant, though, in hindsight, maybe obvious, but nevertheless, something you’d never think of.”
as i read somewhere :
Feynmans problem solving algorithm:
1. Look at the problem.
2. Think very hard about it.
3. Write the Answer!

My favorite parts of Feynman are different from most other people’s, so when I ask myself WWRFD, the answer I come up with is something like this: http://community.livejournal.com/loltheorists/132719.html
