I guess they do make better sense in context and are quite interesting nonetheless IMO. But in any case this book was refreshing for precisely this reason. Most of these were published after his death because he didn’t want them to be published while he was alive (say for example he didn’t want to people think that he believed in god just because he worked out the Ontological Argument, hence it wasn’t published while he was alive).
